I recently got a job offer but I have an interview with a company I would love to work for next week…how do I stall the first company and wait on a decison for the second. The second company is my dream job and pays very well. The first is so-so and some distance from home. Need to give a response ASAP!!

I have been offered a dream job in the foreign service that will allow me to work overseas, in a new country every three years or so. I am excited and terribly stressed at the same time. I am a remarried father of two children, ages 6 and 13. They live with their mother with whom I share custody 40/60. I will end up seeing them less, not every other weekend or during the week once in a while like I do now if I take the job. But, I want this job terribly and want them to see the world, to live amongst other cultures and see amazing new things. Their mom, unfortunately, is a homebody that never strays more than 200 miles from home. But I’m afraid the kids will think I’ve abandoned them or something, even though they tell me it would be so fun to come visit different countries. Would it be wrong to not take this job, and resent it years later when they’re older and out of the house? Or is it more wrong to put my dreams before their need for a dad?

I would like to find something where I can work from home for a legitimate company. I like to data entry work. I am looking for a reputable company to work for and one that has insurance benefits and pays decently also. Does anyone know where I can find this? Am I dreaming that there is a company out there like this? Please let me know - I cannot work where I am much longer because of a co-worker that is litterally making me sick.

he does not want a normal job. He wants to set his own time schedule and have coffee with people all day long, and then network a business.
he has been networking a business for 3 months so far- not a dime of profit yet. He WANTS to loose his job, and we don’t have enough in reserves to pay a 2800 dollar mortgage for long.

I just want a normal, everyday, steady job with a steady pay check that I don’t have to pay for and I don’t want to start my own business or get into direct selling. I want to get up every morning, get ready for work and then walk into my computer room and put in a hard days work. How can I make this dream come true??

know there’s a lot more to consider when buying house, and I should talk to a mortgage broker, but I would just like opinions. I have a settlement of 80,000 that I’m getting soon. Husband and I make about 50,000 a year total. (We are about to finish college and haven’t gotten out dream job yet) What price range home should I consider? For about a 150,000 dollar house, what would be the down payment?
