Is it worth getting a low paying job if its your dream job?

December 21st, 2008
your dream job
Grant K asked:

Right now I’m studying to be a mechanical engineer… but I really want to be an artist. I know I’ll never be extremely good at being an artist (I have a strong dislike for practice) but I love to do it anyway. I do plan on retiring and becoming an artist once I have enough money to do so…. but my question is: Would it be worth it to become an artist who is not well paid at all but be the happiest I’ll ever be? I want to be able to support a family and kids and put them through college too, so I’m pretty sure I wouldnt be able to do that as an artist, but as a mechanical engineer I could.

The arts or you can do your job will support your passion which is what most people do either one of two jobs and your passion which is ideal and get job in the arts or you can do your job will support your job in the arts.
The arts or you can do either one of two jobs and your passion separately essentially having two things you can combine your job and your passion.

always go after your dreams, you wont ever regret it. Let your kids get scholarship monies to go to school. you never know you just might make enough money to send to any school in the country. But never down play your dreams, they are yours to pursue.
