How to get a job in a dream company, after the interview has happened?

November 4th, 2008
your dream job
bigspoon asked:

I came across a dream job, and with enthusiasm I wrote a detailed consulting report and also emailed the company. I felt confident to move to the next level and picked up the phone and asked to meet in person. The interview lasted 6 hours and the response was that they’d get back to me by year’s end. The company moves at its own pace, but I can’t focus on my current projects without thinking I can work my best magic in a dream job. If there is anybody out there that can give me advice other than that “i’ve tried my best and get on with it”… I want to know if there’s any better means to land the job of my dreams.
