Would you miss the first 12 weeks of your newborn baby’s life for your dream job and financial stability?

GJB asked:
You have recently been offered the dream job that you have waited five years for. The problem is you would have to miss the first 12 weeks of your new born baby’s life, along with relocating your family 3 hours away from all your relatives. Your spouse would also be responsible for the baby all on her own the first 12 weeks.

By moving you would gain financial stability and your spouse would not have to work.
Do you take the job?

How did you get to your dream job? What obstacles did you face? What is something you know now that you wish you had known back then? Is it normal to have no idea what you want to do even when all your friends are moving up? What are some methods for soul searching? Travel?
Thanks!!
If you started out at your dream job, please don’t answer this question. Serious people only!!

So you’re speaking with the person who can hire you for your dream job. What do you say and how do u act?

Tone asked:
So, you’re talking to someone who can hire you for the job you’ve always wanted. There is a position open. And he can give it to anyone he thinks is suitable. Now, you’re either speaking to him via e-mail, in person, on phone, or whatever. What would you say and how would you act? There are some people who would kiss major booty, explaining that they want the job and then go into how amazing it is that the person who could hire them got whatever position they have. They could talk about how well the person who could hire them, their speaking and writing skills are. Would you do this to the person who could hire you for your dream job, or would you keep it simple and just say how much you want this job, or write some 15 page essay explaing how badly and how passionately you want it, or would you follow some other approach at dealing with this person. Let’s say, this is a job that lots of other people want and you have tried getting it a million of other times and it hasn’t worked.
